Behavioral Surveillance Survey (BSS) in the Highway Route of Nepal: Round 3

Abstract: This third round of BSS was conducted with the aims to systematically measure and monitor HIV risk behavioral trends among sex workers and several male sub-population group (Male transport workers, labors and students) along highway routes in eastern, central and western development region, covering 16 district of Nepal. The study noted some changes in risk behavior such as increment in condom use and intended effects of media campaign are also noted suggesting the condom and AIDS related message are reaching the target groups.
