Round III – 2007
Abstract: The IBBS is being conducted at
regular intervals in Nepal. This is the third round of
IBBS among Injecting Drug Users (IDUs)
study in Kathmandu valley.
The main objective of this study
was to determine the prevalence of STI, HIV/AIDS and Syphilis among IDUs
working in the Kathmandu Valley (urban areas of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur) and to assess their STI related risk
behaviors. The study also to analyze trends through comparison with data
obtained from the 2006 and 2004 IBBS in the Valley.
