Title: HIV/STD Prevalence and Risk Factors among Migrants and Non_Migrants Males of Achham District in Far-Western Nepal
Abstract: International evidence suggests that migration be often linked to higher levels of HIV transmission. Because of the poverty factor, a huge number of male people, mainly from western Nepal temporarily migrated India to get temporary employment. This study aim is to investigate the role of male laborer migration to India on the HIV epidemic in Achham and Kailali districts of Nepal. The study will examine the relationship of HIV and selected STIs to migration behaviour and sexual
behaviors at migration source. The study will also determine the prevalence of HIV and STI among males in the highest migrating areas of the country.
