Title: Benefit, Monitoring and Evaluation Study of Water Supply and Sanitation Sub-Project under Fourth Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project

Abstract: Fourth Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project (FRWSSP) was implemented to provide safe drinking water supplies, adequate sanitation facilities and hygienic living conditions for the people in the three regions Eastern, Mid-western and Far-western Region of Nepal. This Benefit, Monitoring and Evaluation (BME) survey was to examine the water Supply and Sanitation programs implemented under the FRWSSP. The study assesses the extent of relevance, effectiveness, impact and sustainability of the program. It also evaluated the effects and efficiency of the Water Users and Sanitation Committees (WUSC), Village maintenance Workers (VME) and Health Volunteers in relation to their prescribed and perceived responsibilities.
