Title: Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs) Survey 2004

Abstract: New ERA carried out FCHVs survey annually since 2002, 2003 and 2004. This series of FCHVs survey was conducted with aims of monitoring the performance of Nepal Family Health Program (NFHP), implemented in 17 Core Program Districts (CPDs). The study collected the information by interviewing 1640 FCHVs, those were randomly selected at the ward level in CPDs. The survey results revealed that a maximum number of FCHVs had contimoxazole 82.4 percent, ORS 71.9 percent, condom 77.2 percent and pills 75.5 percent.
