Title: Immunization Coverage and Childhood Mortality in Nepal with References to Poverty and Caste/ Ethnicity

Abstract: This study was to examine the immunization coverage and childhood mortality in relation to the poverty and caste/ethnicity in Nepal. The study analyzed differentials in fully immunized children, measles vaccine coverage and under-five mortality according to caste/ethnic groups and poverty. The level and trends of these indicators comparing different caste and ethnicity by wealth quintile range poorest to richest was assesses using the Nepal Demographic Health Survey (NDHS) data from the three cross-sectional surveys conducted in 1996, 2001 and 2006.
