Title : Needs Assessment on the Availability of Emergency Obstetric Care (EOC) Services in Panchthar, Saptari, Dang and Kapilbastu Districts of Nepal 

Abstract: The Womens' Right to Life and Health Project is initiated Ministry of Health and UNICEF/Nepal, with aiming to develop quality EOC serives at district hospital and primary health care centers (PHCCs) of Eastern, Western and Mid_western Regions. The project aim is to reduce the prevailing high maternal mortality rates in Nepal. This study was to identify the existing situation of EOC services in both Government and non_government Hospitals, PHCCs in the four districtrs of the regions. The study provided the information on existing health facilities, whether they are currently providing EOC services and their utilization status.
