Title: Sustaining Health Outcomes through the Private Sector (SHOPS) Plus Project

Abstract: Ghar Ghar Maa Swasthya (GGMS), or Healthy Homes project was implemented with funded by USAID in 49 districts of Nepal. The project seeks to improve the health of disadvantaged populations in Nepal via improved availability and use of family planning, maternal child health and other health products This survey was to understand the effectiveness of the GGMS and RAI (Remote Area Initiative) interventions at improving knowledge, attitude and practices (KAP) in key health areas among women age of 15-49 years. The study was use two surveys to obtain the required information. The baseline survey was to be used to assess current KAP related to key GGMS and RAI outcomes and the end-line survey was to provide data that can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of GGMS and RAI interventions during the period that SHOPS Plus works with CRS. The study measured changes in key outcomes including modern contraceptive prevalence rate.
