Title: Impact Assessment Study of South Asia Poverty Alleviation Programme: Nepal

Abstract: South Asia Poverty Alleviation Programme (SAPAP) was a UNDP initiated regional intervention in SAARC countries. The objectives of the programme was to establish modalities to integrate social mobilization into the mainstream of development in the SAARC region and instituting it as a process and the means to achieve economic and human development of the rural poor. This study was to assess SAPAP implementation in Nepal to generate concrete policy implications with reference to the mocro, meso as well as national level emphasis and commitment towards poverty alleviation.
