Title: Equity in the Delivery of Public Services in Selected Developing Member Countries: Nepal Country Report (# 780 Ongoing)

Abstract: This study was carried out New ERA as part of the four-country regional technical assistance study of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) conducted in Philippines and Nepal, additional two countries study will be in the second phase. The main purpose of this study was to assess performance of public services delivery in health and education sectors in Nepal. The study identified the constraints to improving the delivery of public services in these sectors. The study provided policy recommendation to improve public services in the health and education sectors for better and more equitable outcomes. The study used qualitative techniques to gain deeper insight in the various issues related to equity in the service delivery.
