Title: A Report on
the Impact Survey of the Leprosy Elimination Campaign in Nepal
Abstract: Based on
the baseline study findings on knowledge, concept and attitude of community
recommendations were furnished for the development of the prime message
required to enhance National Leprosy Campaign and appropriate methods for
dissemination of it. As a second stage activity prime message that were
developed were tested in different focus group sessions by New ERA in
December 1998. This study assesses the effectiveness of the National Leprosy
Elimination Campaign (NLEC) through media campaign and house to house
investigation programme. It also assesses impact of media campaign on the
behaviour change of the community towards leprosy and media campaign
programme in terms of reach to community.
