Title: Environmental and Socio-economic Impact Study Report of Arun III 

Abstract: The two volume report was prepared for the Arun III Hydroelectric Project undertaken by the Nepal Electricity Authority on behalf of HMG of Nepal. The report contains data on social and economic aspects of households to be affected by land acquisition for the project; vegetation composition and flora at the proposed dam and powerhouse sites; mammals and birds in the project area; soil fertility and land-use pattern, vegetation types and watershed condition in the project area; and fish fauna in the Arun river, especially at dam site, powerhouse site, upstream and downstream.
