Title: Institutional Strengthening of NEA’s Environment Division

Abstract: The purpose of this project is to provide advisory technical assistance to assist the government of Nepal to strengthen the Environmental Division of the Nepal Electricity Authority. In order to provide this service a consortium was formed of three consulting firms: Hassall and Associates Pty., Euro-consult (Netherlands) and New ERA. The overall objective of the technical assistance is to assist NEA in ensuring that power development projects adequately incorporate environmental and social components into design, construction and operation so as to contribute to sustainable development in Nepal.
