Title: Forest Development Project Pre-feasibility Study: Report on Demographic and Socio-economic Survey

Abstract: The purpose of the study was to collect and analyse the socio-economic data for background information to identify and plan project activities. It concluded that the area was characterised by a very high incidence of poverty caused by rapid growth of population. Forest resources were also being depleted quite rapidly.
