Time Allocation Study
in Majhigaon and Dumrechour Villages of Sindhupalchowk District, Nepal
This study has
examined
a component of 'The Boudha-Bahunipati Family Welfare Project' (BBP) -an
Integrated Community Development Programme of the Family Planning Association
of Nepal (FPAN) initiated in 1972 to achieve over all family welfare. To
achieve the goal the project incorporated different activities such as family
planning and maternal and child health, preventive and curative health,
agriculture, animal husbandry and horticultural components. The study
assesses the
ways of people of Majhigaon and Dumrechour spend their day time and from
season to season, and indicates how the Nepal Family Planning Association (NFPA)
Project has influenced the time use pattern in the households of the
villages.
