Title: Compliance Survey of Micronutrient Supplementation for Children in Food Insecure Districts

Abstract: Micronutrient Supplementation Program was implemented in collaboration between WFP, Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP) and Implementing Partners. Under this program Micronutrient Powder (MNP) supplementation was given to the children aged 6-59 months of participating households in food for work activities in order to improve the nutritional quality of their food. The program also provided training on knowledge and benefit of MNP to the mother. In addition the training implementation partners performed social marketing in the program areas. This survey was undertaken to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practices on MNP among mother of children aged 6-59 months. The study examined the consumption pattern and awareness among the mothers about of MNP. The study also evaluated infant and young child feeding practices at household level. The sample was selected 1650 households from twelve districts, six five from mountain region, Bajhang, Mugu, Humla, Kalikot, and Jajarkot; six from hill region Baitadi, Doti, Dadeldhura, Darchula, Sindhuli and Udayapur; and one from plain region Kailali.
