<table><tbody><tr><td colspan="1" rowspan="1"><p>The GLOBE HPV study aims to gather information on HPV burden and risk factors for HPV infection among girls and women in 8 GAVI-eligible countries, including 5 in Sub-Saharan African and 3 countries in South Asia: Nepal, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. The survey is designed to improve understanding of the knowledge, attitudes and beliefs regarding and affecting HPV interventions; and improve understanding of the perceptions, including gender norms and factors affecting stigma, that could enable a more accurate understanding of the HPV burden at the country and global level to the design a more effective HPV prevention, screening, treatment, and vaccination programs. This quantitative survey is a National-level survey where the data is collected from 4000 individuals (1000 each in 9-14, 15-20, 21-30, and 31—50 years of age) spread across 56 districts in 7 provinces. Methodologies: Door to door visit will be performed to enroll girls/women between 9-14, 15-20, 21-30, and 31-50 years from the clusters selected by the multi-stage random cluster sampling. Following consent/assent to the survey, girls/women will be interviewed by using standardized questionnaire and urine specimen will also be collected. The survey is a national representative survey. All collected urine specimen will be processed to extract pellet in the field laboratory set up by the field team of New ERA. Frozen pellets which will be stored in -20°C freezer will be transferred to Dhulikhel Hospital for DNA extraction and further testing.</p></td></tr></tbody></table>
