Assessment of Family Planning Counseling Skills of MCHWs and VHWs in Kailali District

This study assesses the counseling skills of Maternal Child Health Workers (MCHWs) and Village Health Workers (VHWs) in the 19 sub-health posts in Kailali District. The study assesses the knowledge of service providers and clients in relation to contraceptive methods and STIs. The study also assesses the interpersonal relationship between family planning service providers and their clients; the attitude of clients towards family planning service providers; the need for family planning counseling training; and the client’s view of family planning and counseling services.
