Family Planning KPC Survey in ADRA Project Area

2005

The Eastern Region Family Planning Expansion Project was implemented in six districts with the aim of reducing maternal and infant mortality and morbidity by increasing family planning usage rates and thereby reducing mistimed, unwanted, and high-risk pregnancies and concomitantly improving general child health and welfare. This study obtained baseline data in relation to the current status of family planning services in existing health facilities and in the project districts. The study assesses the level of knowledge on family planning services and HIV/AIDS among the target population in the project districts.
