This study assesses efforts towards gender mainstreaming in the education sector in Nepal. The study reviews development policies, laws and regulations, plans and programmes in the education sector from the gender perspective. It also analyzes the impact of educational policies and programmes and makes recommendations for more effective gender mainstreaming in the education sector.
