Report of Immunization Coverage Survey Nepal 2009

2010

This Nationwide survey was carried to determine immunization coverage achieved through routine health services and supplemental immunization activities. The study provided more precise, statistically sound immunization coverage estimates for each of 13 ecological-zone/region combinations, as well as Nepal nationally covering 74 districts out of 75 of Nepal. The study was based on a stratified multi-stage cluster sample with selection of households through systematic random sampling at the final stage. All areas of the country were included in the sampling frame, to ensure representative of the country as a whole. Immunization status was based on household-retained immunization cards and parental recall, supplemented by health facility register data for survey children.
